One day all three girls won free tickets to a basketball game but her mother wouldn't let her go. After Nelley and Sue left to go to the came Cinder-elly’s fairy-godmother visits her. The godmother dresses Cinder-elly up beautifully and even turns the trash can into a bike for her to ride to the game but she warns she must be home by 10. At the game she meets a charming basketball player in which is actually a prince. Title: The Field Beyond The Outfield  Genre: Fantasy  Author: Mark Teague Major Awards: None  Age Group: 6 - 9 year olds  Summary: The Field Beyond The Outfield is about a young boy by the name of, Ludlow who claims there are monsters in his closet at night. His parents think he needs to get involved in something to keep his mind off these monsters, so they sign him up for baseball. During one of Ludlow’s baseball games he is placed way out in the outfield. He was placed so far out that he happened to see another game going on but this one was being played by monsters! Ludlow gets invited to play in their game and hits a great ball. After the game Ludlow goes home and is no longer scared of the monsters in his closet.  I would use this book in my classroom if I was teaching younger aged students. Title: The Three Billy Goats Gruff Genre: Fantasy  Author: Joan Stimson Major Awards: CCBC Choices 2018 Choice:  Age Group: 4 - 7 year olds Summary:  This fantasy book, The Three Billy Goats Gruff is about three billy goats called Gruff. All the three goats want is to go across the bridge and eat the sweet, tasty, green grass that is across the bridge, but there is a mean troll that guards it. The first two goats pass successfully and when the third goes to pass he gobbles up the mean troll so he never scares anyone from going across the bridge ever again. Now, all three goats are happily on the other side of the bridge eating the grass which soon makes them all fat.  I don't think I would use this book in my classroom as an instructional piece. I would put it in my classroom library for my students to explore and read though. I don't feel as if this book has much educational value or really anything that I could use to benefit my child...
