This book is about a girl with autism who is forced with the obstacle of trying broccoli for the first time.

mom asks her to at least touch it but again the girl says no and turns it down again. Finally, her mom relates
her obsession with dinosaurs to eating broccoli which finally gets the girl to try it but she is not a fan of it.
Her mother praises her and tells her that she is extremely proud of her for trying something new. At the
end of the book the young girl gains more courage to try more foods and go beyond her comfort zone.

I would love to use this book in my classroom! It has a great message that it is important to always try new
things whether we end up liking them or not. It is also a story of a young child overcoming something
that she didn't want to do. This is an important lesson for children to learn because it helps them push past
their limits and explore other things and ideas.

I feel as if this book is best for students in pre-k through kindergarten. The book tells a great story of a
young girl trying something new despite not wanting to and overcoming her battles. It also has very easy
to read words and sentences which makes it great for younger students. This book is a great lesson for all
kids but especially younger ones.

If I were to use this book in my classroom I would first read it to them. Then, I would have a class
discussion about what the girl overcome and the importance of trying new things. After that I would have
them write about something they are scared to try but are willing to try and over come and share it with the
class.
