I believe that this book would be best for students in pre- k to first grade. This book has a lot of great
information about police officers which I feel can be very beneficial for younger students. In addition, I
feel as if all students need to be educated about police officers and this book does a great job at explaining
them and all that they do.It also has very easy to read words as well as easy to comprehend information.

If I were to use this book in my own classroom I would have my students sit on the carpet and I would
read it aloud to them. I would then ask them questions about police officers and all that they do as well as
answer any of their questions. Next, I would have them draw their own police officer and create their own
story about him/her helping the community.
