This book, “The Story Of Johnny Appleseed” takes readers through the life of a man, John Chapman and
all his endeavors. It explains his journeys, all the people he met, and most of all his way of planting seeds
everywhere he went. The book touches especially on his relationships with the Indians and all the ways
that they changed his life. The story ends by giving a brief statement about Johnny Appleseed after death
and all that he has done for our world.

I would love to use this book in my classroom when my students are learning about Johnny Appleseed.
This book has a lot of great information about Johnny Appleseed and some of his journeys through life.
Having this book in my classroom can help students learn about this historical figure and the impact he
made on our world. 

I feel as if this book would be best for students in grades Kindergarten through second grade. It gives
some great information about Johnny Appleseed and his impact. Also, it has an easy to read words and
sentences that can help younger students read on their own. In addition, the book is very easy to
comprehend as well as help readers begin to learn about Johnny Appleseed. 

If I were to use this book in my classroom I would first read it out loud to my students and then discuss
who Johnny Appleseed was and what he did. Then, I would have my students draw their own apple trees
that would be supposedly grown by Johnny Appleseed. I would also have them draw their own picture of
him and write their own story about his journey.
