If I were to use this book in my class I would first read the book to my class out loud. Then, I would have my
students draw Fredrick Douglas and write any fun facts, important events, and any other information from
the book that they want to add. Next, I would have them recreate his story line and put it in whatever way
they want in order to show that they understood the book.
